Sophie Scholl; The Final Days
This Academy Award Nominee for Best Foreign Language Film recounts the
true story of Germany¹s most famous anti-Nazi heroine is brought to
thrilling life in the multi-award winning drama. Armed with long-buried
historical records of her incarceration, director Marc Rothemund expertly
re-creates the last six days of Sophie Scholl¹s life: a heart-stopping
journey from arrest to interrogation, trial and sentence.

Dirk Wendtorf, Professor of German Studies, Florida State College
The panel will provide a short survey of the history of German resistance
against the Third Reich and discuss the significance these courageous
acts hold for us in the contemporary society.
