Dear course members:
Right after spring break you will have the fabulous opportunity to excel on a German test on 04/13/10.......
The format of test 2 will be as follows:
Oral Segment (40%): Based on a set of pictures, you will required to create sentences using subordinate clauses and make statements in the present perfect.
Listening Comprehension (10%): Based on the readings in chapter 3 and 4 I will read a short story and ask some questions. You will have to provide the answers (needless to say....).
Grammar (30%): Based on the grammatical concepts of chapters 3 and 4, you will be requested to write sentences describing a situation, answering questions, and combine statements by means of subordinate conjuctions (cf. sessions on 03/30 and 04/01)
The focus will be: the dative (dative objects and prepositions), subordinate clauses, and the present perfect
Culture (20%): The culture segment will be based on the cultural readings (Vorschau und Focus)for chapter 3 and 4 and the films we have screened in class.
